This Privacy Policy describes how AuricDB ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit and use auricdb.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

AuricDB uses Discord OAuth for account creation. When you sign in with Discord, we receive and store:

  • Your Discord username and discriminator
  • Your Discord user ID
  • Your Discord account email address
  • Your Discord avatar URL

We do not receive your Discord password. We only request the minimum permissions needed to identify you.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our third-party partners may automatically collect:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of visits
  • Device information: operating system, device type
  • Cookie data (see Section 3 below)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate your account and maintain your session
  • Provide personalised features such as watchlists and price alerts
  • Process subscription payments via Stripe (we do not store payment card data)
  • Send transactional emails such as price alert notifications (via Resend)
  • Improve and operate the Site
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Session cookies

When you sign in, a session cookie is set by NextAuth.js to keep you logged in across page loads. This cookie is necessary for the Site to function and cannot be opted out of while signed in.

Advertising cookies

The Site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites on the internet. These cookies allow Google to recognise your browser and serve personalised or interest-based advertisements.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection

5. Data Retention

Your account data (username, email, avatar, preferences) is retained for as long as your account is active. Price snapshot data is retained for 90 days in our live database. If you would like your account deleted, contact us at [email protected] and we will process your request within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability (where applicable)

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
